This sale is for one (1) M1 carbine style sling newly manufactured by Indian Creek Trading Co./Patriot Military Trading Co. in Chesapeake, Virginia USA.  THE

.  To get back to a more period correct looking sling, I am now only offering the unmarked version.

The sling is manufactured utilizing genuine US military surplus OD Green 1 inch wide cotton webbing, genuine Scovill “DOT” “Lift the Dot” snap, and US military spec steel adjusting slide.  For a touch of nostalgia and additional authentic detail, the “Lift the Dot” snap is attached utilizing original WW2 era US Navy issue United Carr setting dies.  This is not a cheap foreign made polyester blend web sling with flimsy hardware like many others found for sale on the internet.  Additionally, many reproduction slings found for sale are manufactured with webbing that is thicker than original carbine sling webbing and does not fit properly around the oiler in the stock.
Buy one of those for $2.00 less than this one and you will regretfully see what I am talking about.
In fact, e
ven many original slings are very difficult to install depending on the stock/oiler cut out.
With this in mind, I intentionally manufactured these slings utilizing ORIGINAL US military surplus webbing that is a class/type slightly lighter than the original WW2 era class/type webbing in order to make installing the sling around the oiler in the stock easier.
